Hi,

Does anyone recommend something that I can use on my TT1 diver bracelet clasp to remove light scratches which you get from daily wear something that can be used at home by yourself? a scouring pad?

While I have not tried this, I have heard a Scotch Brite scouring pad works well. I use a scratch pen - a bundle of fiberglass strands - to remove scratches from my brushed finishes. You can find them at online watch supply stores.

Cheers Chris.

On the attached thumbnails which you submitted a few weeks ago from Basel 2006 the second watch is a manual wind does it have an acrylic or sapphire crystal is it gold or gold plated and what is the model I have looked on the Oris website with no luck plus how much I live in England. It sure is a lovely looking dress watch which I might buy.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Simon

Here is the press release info.

Oris Artelier redesigned in accordance with the terms of classic modern – this is a real find for enthusiasts of mechanical hand-wound watches. And, like all trouvailles, there are several exciting features to discover: the amazingly flat design of the three-piece l8 carat rose gold case; the generous aperture of the ring-like dial with its art deco styling; the separate display of the small second, emphasising the repetition of rings; the hands and indices of non-corrodible rose gold. And in an elegant curve on top of all these features: the unscratchable sapphire crystal, spherically cut from the inside. The new Artelier Handwinder is water-resistant to 30 m, protecting the High-Mech movement.

Oris Artelier Handwinder – a new gold standard in watchmaking.

Artelier 18K Rosegold (5N) Handwinder
Ø 40.00mm
Ref. 396 7580 60 51 LS

This is a new model released at Basel and probably won't be available in stores until this fall.

Cheers Chris and Natchayar,

I have had great results using the scotch brite pad as recommended. On my TT1 and Speedmaster. That watch looks lovely Chris I can hardly wait to see it at my AD later this year I wonder how much it will cost? Thanks again for your help and your valuable wealth of information regarding the Oris range.

Regards,

Simon
