A eBay seller from Germany have sent me those pictures here. Please let me know if they are fakes... He is trying to sell the watches to me privatly and not through eBay. I have been looking at watches on Breitling.com but I have no idea here.

What I dont like is that he claims that all papers and boxes are locked up, and that is why he cant send me pictures of them.

I have a feeling that they are fakes though...

KoSmOs......

if they want to do it out of ebay....there is your first alert.....stay the heck away.

the pics are bad representations and hard to determine one way or another. i do know the last pic shows a black ring on the face which gives the effect of a shoulder. breitling authentics do not....

my recommendation....stay away....far away

Good call gentlemen. By passing ebay is a big no no. Second, the watches are fakes so should be avoided. And last, if someone is rushing you, then give them the flick. There are plenty of other watches out there.

Kosmos, these watches are not even good fakes, they are cheap from ASIA. Just move on.

Hey guys!
Thank you for all your help... I am so damn happy that I did not send any money to this guy! Sorry that I seem like an idiot, but they kind of looked real to me (I am not an expert in this field).

You don't seem like an idiot at all, you did exactly the right thing and sought expert opinion on something you were unsure of; that actually seems like quite a wise thing to do!!!

The best way to avoid being scammed is do your homework. Know what you want, it's cost, what it looks like. It's been said here and other forums "Buy the seller, not the watch". Ask questions, and don't be in a rush just because you want one. And as they say, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is".
An authorized dealer is the safest way to buy, and if you call around you can get a real good deal too.
Best of luck in your search.

Hello Terry,

I love it when that quote comes around and is suffering from the old party line telephone degradation..."Buy the seller, not the watch". I coined this phase a few years ago on the old breitling forum and it went.."First, buy the seller, then the watch"... if you see what I mean. No harm done, it just tickles me to see it still in circulation if some what misquoted.

DOH! Sorry to misquote you. :-d I knew how it was supposed to go, but you know how it is when you get typing and don't proof read like you should. Nice to see SOMEONE paying attention.:-!
