RONALD STEFFEN

Ronald Steffen was born in Zug, close to the beating heart of the Swiss watch making industry, in 1964. He has lived in the neighbourhood
of Antwerp, Belgium, for over forty years. He studied graphic design
and photography at the Royal Academy of Antwerp (the Koninklijke Academie van Antwerpen). He has a passion for art and design, for graphic design, sculpture, photography and product-design. He has managed to combine all these passions into his love of watches.

“SHAPING OF TIME”

The first preparations for this story started three years ago.
The concept: an original design that combines reliability with the finest
technology.

Watches have always occupied a special place in Ronald Steffen's heart.
This love has now resulted in a creation of his own - a watch to fall in love with. His love of design tolerated no compromises when it came to quality, form and function.

An outstanding timepiece is the expression of a creative link between
aesthetics and craftsmanship. Carefully assembled in the cradle of watch making, Switzerland.

For Ronald Steffen, the essence of beauty is simplicity that inspires.
But that does not mean that a respectable distance must not be imposed.

Over sixty components and twelve different types of material are
included in this unique design. Every component is analysed and
tested separately.

It had to become an exceptional watch with a singular personality.
The ten models are limited editions, with each one numbered.

LEONARDO
INGENUITY

Leonardo da Vinci studied the measuring of time. He designed both sand and water clocks and tackled practical problems regarding the weight-driven clock, developed various types of springs and worm gears and refined the working of flywheels. A century before Galileo and two centuries before the famed watchmaker Huygens, Leonardo was already gaining fundamental knowledge on time mechanisms and could apply that knowledge to other machines.
