Jaquet Droz recently announced its partnership with WIRED Magazine for the second year in a row.
The Swatch Group brand will return as the “Official Luxury Timepiece Sponsor” of the May WIRED Business Conference in Partnership with MDC Partners. Hailed as “Disruptive by Design”, the event will host a series of discussions focusing on disruptive business practices, ideas, and innovations. Among the keynote speakers will be Marc Andreessen: Founder and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Dick Costolo; CEO, Twitter, James Dyson; Inventor & Chief Engineer, Dyson, and Alan Mulally; President & CEO, Ford Motor Company.
Hosted on May 1st at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, the conference will feature Jaquet Droz’s artist from Switzerland demonstrating hand painting on enamel. Producing one-of-a-kind timepieces, this decorative technique is part of the Jaquet Droz tradition. Acknowledged as one of the most astonishing timepieces in watchmaking history, a Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantieme watch will be awarded to a participant of the WIRED Business Conference. The timepiece is part of the Legend Geneva Collection and is valued at $8,700.
