    3133 'click' problem

As some may have seen I have recently acquired a round case 3133 Shturmanskie.

This morning when winding as I reached 'full wind' the watch started to fully unwind. Luckily I had a grip of the crown and so was able to control the 'let down'

I then tried to wind it and for a few attempts it would unwind but then wound ok.

So question - do I have a problem with the 'click'? As this is a new acquisition and I don't know how long the watch has been idle could the click just be a bit 'sticky' should I leave it and see if it reoccurs?

What else could be wrong with the click to cause this? As the the watch is not easy to open I would rather opinions first.

sounds like the mainspring is slipping I would class this as a problem of sorts, I believe the 3133 is only hand wind and this probably means that the mainspring was not attached properly to the slot in the barrel. It may reseat itself permently or it may be slightly out of alingment and it will never seat 100% and this could continue to happen

look at the picture for better explaination

    Thanks for the replies

Could the moderator move this post or should I just repost in the watchmaker forum?

Watchwombat - thanks for the suggestion and pics. I don't think it is a slipping mainspring as I believe that would cause the spring to not compress when winding. What I had was the watch unwound and I had to hold the crown and let it slip through my fingers to avoid a rapid and violent unwinding. Then when I tried to wind again as I released my grip after one turn the crown would unwind. I was like the 'click' was failing to engaged.

yeah I get you I think that it may be the small ratchet on the barrel not quite right I had a similar problem with a new vostok a while ago very easy repair just took out the screw that held the ratchet and reseated it and redid the screw.
