Amphibia Upgrades

Hi all,

There have been a few previous posts/threads on bezel upgrades for the Vostok Amphibia.

I'm a big fan of this watch, so picked up a couple of current 'ministry case' editions and sourced replacement bezel, inserts and straps.

I'm very pleased with the results (especially the Blue Scuba Dude) and have posted below.

A few have questioned the wisdom of spending $60 accessorising a $50 watch, but I think the results look far better than $110!

True, very good looking! But at the other hand, it starts to look more like other watch (some homage of Blancpain Fifty Fantom) than Amphibia.

yesterday i upgraded my black scuba dude with a black Hirsch Pure Caoutchouc strap (42 euros). the outcome was marvelous.i ll try to post pics later,(i am saying trying because last time i tried the pics were big)
anyway your amphibias are awesome D1JBS,especially the blue one is a dream.

Would be great to see those pics. I might do a couple more in the future and the black scuba dude would be a good candidate.

Awesome! Who was your source for the inserts? I've done two of these so far (A blue round case scuba dude and a black ministry), and have a 3rd bezel waiting for the perfect Amphibian/insert combo to dawn on me.

I have mixed feelings about these upgrades. But on the other hands one of the emblematic features of the Amphibian is the bezel. What is an Amphibian without one of the characteristic bezels? I only feel sory that now we only have dotted bezel and can't chose from the other variants like the ruler bezel.
