I love this forum, and I consider many of you my friends. We always help each other out as best as we can, when we can. I want to ask a favor of you, my friends. I'm asking for your prayers, good thoughts--whatever you can do. Now, why, you ask? About 3 1/2 years ago I went to my doctor for a sinus infection, but while I was there I also asked him about severe lower back pain that I'd been having. He X-rayed my back, and to both our surprise, my back had been broken! Don't know when or how it happened. My doctor is an old High School chum, so we have a really good rapport...probably better than a doctor/patient should have!! LOL!! We pick on one another and we talk and hang out like friends do. Anyway, over the last year, this back issue of mine has gotten a LOT worse. I spend a lot of time either on my back, in bed or sitting in a weird reclined position to ease the pain. That, and a lot of pain medications are all I can do for right now. I have a surgery 'set up' to take place when everything settles out. Anyway, I have a claim filed with the Veteran's Administration for 100% disability (I am currently 70%)....it has moved in to the 'Preparation for Decision' phase. Guys/Gals, I am hoping and praying that this decision is favorable for me so that I can have this surgery. I humbly ask for your prayers, my friends. Thank you all for helping me as much as you do. Whether you realize it or not, you all help me to cope EVERY day by taking my mind off the pain. You let me spout off and run my mouth with my stupid little attempts at comedy. Y'all are my friends that I lean on, and I appreciate you for it. Don't feel sorry for me or anything, this stuff just happens. My situation, compared to others, is minor. I'm blessed, and I know it...but I also know when I need to ask a friend for moral support. Thanks!
Bobby
