I recently purchased my first mechanical watch, a Poljot Aviator Flightchronograph! The classic one.
After a lot of research I stumbled upon the, for me, unknown russian watches.
I almost purchased a Pilot from Juri Levenberg, after asking questions about it on this forum I decided not to purchase it because the brand has no clear pedigree.
I heve read a lot about the russian watches and liked the chrononaph aviators the most, especially the classic aviator 1.
Because Julian Kampann is mentioned to have a very good service and knowing his bussines I preferred to buy a watch from him.
I was going to purchase the Aviator 2 but he recently added the Classic Aviator Flightchronograph. I allready liked it a lot but could not find it at a trusted seller, so I really wanted this specific model then.
I mailed Julian with some questions and he responded immediatly. Last wednesday evening I placed the order, thursday it was sent and this monday it arrived! perfect!
It was packaged well, in a package with the wooden watchbox, a bag of russian bread and an extra aviator leather strap!
The stock strap was the one witch white stitching but I like the aviator strap better. Actually I like the Hirsch Liberty gold brown strap better so I ordered it aswell and it's arriving tomorrow.
Here are some pictures I made.
It's a brushed stainless steel case.
This is not my actual watch, just to show the combination with the Hirsch Lyberty strap.
I want to thank all members and moderators a lot for this great forum. I have almost all my info from here and the members are helping each other a lot.
If there are any questions for me I would be glad to answer.
I hope i can fill my list with a lot more nice watches in the future and there will definitely be more russians on there.
