My vintage bronze kit on Vostok Amphibia

With the rising popularity of the bronze watches last few years I decided to have such watch. I adore the look of Panerai, Anonimo, Benarus, Magrette etc, but my decision was to make something customized according to my budget and taste.
I was thinking a lot how to develop this project, but fortunately I saw a model of Steinhart with interchangeable bronze bezel and I decided to go in this direction. But not with Steinhart.
A lot of people are changing bezels of their Amphibias and Komandirskie, so I chose Amphibia Ministry.
Those watches have nice shape and vintage look and only the bezel isn't in place in my opinion.
The width of the lugs - 22 mm allows Amphibia to be dressed with suitable strap and makes it look solid.
And here it is - my Bronze Amphibia.
Bronze bezel, strap made from vintage military belt and brass buckle. Enjoy

Top job mate, well done. Looks the part.

edit...makes me wonder if Vostok should start offering the 'no bezel look' . class

I have to say, that is probably in the top ten coolest watches I've ever seen.

If you ever feel like parting with it.......:D

Very cool! Vostok would be on to something if they adopted your design. How did you create the bezel? Was it an easy swap?

I am really happy you liked the result. Thank you for your kind words.

The bezel is made on lathe. It is not something complicated except the inner chanel for the fixing spring, which is very close to the bottom of the bezel and also with very small width.
The replacement of the bezel is an easy process, but since the bronze is soft, the bronze bezels get unusable after 4-5 swaps because of this channel, so it is good once put on the watch to be left on it.
I made a demonstration of the replacement here

What about red gold? Chrome and red gold combination is also quite trendy...

Impressive indeed. Top craftsmanship for both bezel and strap.

P.S. It will be great if you post this fine piece in your Ministry thread on strelki.info ...
