A beautiful, near mint, CCCP Amphibia from Amil arrived in the mail today. I knew what it was when I got the registered mail card, so I brought my band tools to the post office on the way to work.

It's absolutely gorgeous. I looks like a standard black and grey face, octagonal case...


But when you rotate it in the light, it comes to life as a brilliant green-yellow metallic sunburst!



Yeah, the black and grey NATO isn't the best band choice, but it's what I could get to fit on while I was sitting in my car at the post office.

Everything is in such great condition; I'm excited to see how it runs. Plus, Amil added a few surprise presents that are both really cool and functional.

I've got two more coming from Amil, and now I really can't wait!!!
