    "New" Komandirskie question

I found a watch on smirs that I quite like (attached):

Automatic watch Vostok New Komandirskie. [2432/460337]

It appears to have a 24 hour time window, but the description makes no mention of it. Does any one have any experience with this watch? I'm curious if the 24 hour time can be set independently or not. Would be cool if this could function as a second time zone as well. Any impressions of this watch would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Actually I'd not have said it was 'dumbed-down'... I think that the 24 hour dial is a lot more useful than the day/night indicator which the K-3 has.

That said, I own a K-3 and I'm quite happy with it.

One wonders if it would be possible for Vostok to gear the date mechanism more finely and have it act as a 24 jump-hour, which could be advanced by setting back and forth past the nearest hour.

Of course this would mean the watch had no date and would become damaged if you set it back more than one hour... So I suppose not.
But then my watchmaking expertise is limited to changing hands and tightening rotor-screws.

If this would happen in Vostok, it would defiant from a tough watch concept... easy to use and easy to fix (not quite easy to fix actually)

    well, just my opinion
    A cheapskate snoop....

so many watches out there.... so little money....
And the currency exchange rate is killing me......

Thanks guys for the info. I can definately see the connection now to the K-3. In wonder how the fit and finishon this is compared to the K-3, the bezel, at least, appears to be shared between the two...
