    Hi Guys,

as a new addict to the Russians, I wanted to introduce myself.
Since this addiction is entirely your guys fault, I command you to read it

I never used to pay much attention to watches, and just bought a couple (Armani quartz - overpriced?!) which I thought looked nice.
As a gadget freak I wonder around the internet quite a bit. While looking to buy some LED lights on a Chinese site, I stumbled upon the below watch.
Stainless Steel Self-Winding Mechanical Tachometer Wristwatch - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX

Even though I don't really like the looks of it, the skeleton aspect fascinated me. After checking around and not finding any skeletons for a better price (was +-15$ at the time) I decided to get one.
I received the watch and spent more time looking at it's internals then actually wearing it. Kickstart my watch appreciation.
Next thing up, is of course wandering the internet for more info. Then this forum keeps popping up for all my google questions. After a bit of a detour, and a purchase of a Soki to see how the Submariner style would suit me, I found 'The Russians'.

They just have something to them other watches don't have. They look great, are good value for their money, have something exotic and just aspire to be collected.
After reading numerous threads and looking at pictures on this forum and other sites (ill-phil site for example), I got some (hopefully sufficient) experience in identifying frankens. So I started building my own mini-collection with new and vintage watches. Some are still en-route, but so far I have already received the following:

Komandirskie Classic (new) - got multiple bezels for it
    Name: IMG_7850.JPG
Views: 460
Size: 36.6 KBName: IMG_7842.JPG
Views: 452
Size: 26.4 KB
from which I changed the bezel and it now looks like this - LOVE THE NEW LOOK:
    Name: IMG_7853.JPG
Views: 460
Size: 39.8 KB

    Raketa Perpetual
    Name: IMG_7833.JPG
Views: 466
Size: 241.7 KBName: IMG_7831.JPG
Views: 465
Size: 257.9 KB
Picture does not do justice to the watch (my bad skills). It also has a strap saying CCCP on top and Raketa CCCP inside. Not sure if that is original?

    En route:

    -NOS Amphibian Albatros
    http://nht.no.sapo.pt/Relogios/actua...20B%20CCCP.jpg

    -New Amphibian Submarine
    Амфибия Классика 420289

The reason for these couple of orders in a short timeframe is to get a basic collection started, but also try out different sellers; Meranom, Zenitar, sovieterawatch, fredswatch, etc.
My goal is not to collect all different watches, but just own a nice example of each.

    Thanks for reading

Thanks for making me feel right at home guys. Seeing some of the watches and collections out here has really helped me to get an idea of what I actually like. And the passion that is behind it is inspiring. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to this forum as well.
