Newest additions. New strap for K'dirskie

Alright, so after my last thread I have decided to wait to buy a killer Strela from Julian in the coming weeks. In the mean time, I picked up (one by accident) two more russians. The first is a Raketa that I picked up for 99 cents shipped to my door. I put the opening bid in and forgot until I got the message saying that I won!

First another 2609 Raketa (To be honest, I am more excited for the strap than anything) Plain, simple, the way it was intended to be used!




The second, is a komandirskie. Authentic? I could care less honestly, the main purpose is to add a bit of diversity to my collection. 2414(a?) movement, anyone have any insights? I know that it is the wrong case, probably wrong movement (i'd put my chips on it being wrong) but for twenty quid, I really do not care. I plan on buying a Strela (sorta kinda leaning towards a P-7 but not sure yet) in one months time. Anyway here you go.

Don't get too excited about the straps usually supplied by the Ruskies. Usually poor quality and often Loooong! One size fits all (with the help of a nail).

The strap will be more than enough for me! Unless it really is as bad as you say, then it will be replaced! To bad I am no longer in NC, or else I would have to buy you a drink for being so knowledgeable!

That would be MY really nice way of telling Paul he's full of crap! Now, to the task at hand...new leather straps from Russian sellers, I'm wearing one as a belt. That's the truth. LOL!

Raketa showed up today. You guys either have small wrists, or they have new straps. The strap size is perfect for me. Anyway, the watch is soviet era and is worn. I am not too fond of the crystal, it seems really tall, the second hand is either bent, or the crystal is really screwing with my eyes. Not in bad shape, but the movement has some patina on it. :/ Anyway here are the pics.






Now I am just waiting on the Komandirskie. Some funds have just opened up so Julian will be getting an order ahead of time :D

The K'dirskie showed up today in the mail (Russia to East USA in a week) much to my surprise. Opened up the wrapping and came across a red box. Thoroughly confused now, as the watch was advertised as used. If this has been used, it was only looked at there is a bloody scratch on it. You guys were right, the strap on this one is loooooong. On the tightest fitting it is still loose. I have not opened it up as it went straight onto the wrist after some pictures. I will open it up tomorrow. Here are the photos I took. It came with a small paper, the box, and a bund second strap. I like it!

Alright, So I picked up a new strap today for the K'dirskie, and I love it. I was looking for leather but once I saw this rubber strap on it there was no going back. For $22 I couldn't happier, the only thing that I could nit pick about it is that the yellow doesn't match perfectly, perhaps the brown would have matched better. Onto the pictures!
