OK is anybody else going to do this?

Reserved my Red Valentina today....comes in the 420 case. Gonna buy a 710 and do the switcharoo! Already gonna franken a new watch and I don't have it yet! LOL!!
I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said "....I drank what?"

I look inside myself and see my heart is black, I see my red door and it has been painted black. Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts, It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Close the door, put out the light. You know they won't be home tonight. The snow falls hard and don't you know? The winds of Thor are blowing cold.

I plan to keep mine in OEM condition. It will be your watch though, and you can do whatever you wish with it.

As long as you keep all the original parts, are careful with them, and have been honest about what has done, no harm no foul.

Well, it's never going to leave my possession...so shouldn't be an issue. My thought was that we'd be able to choose dial AND case...but I'm not complaining. I just like the Ministry case best and the red dial combo. I'll get the 710 with the new style bezel, so it'll be a simple one for the other movement swap.

I was thinking the same thing, JRM. Red + Ministry would seem to be the best combination. But I think I'll just leave my 420 intact.

I would do the swap with a Zenitar 710... the Maier ones are way too expensive for a Vostok. But then I like the 710 dial design better than the red one so I'll probably choose a 710.

I like the 710 dial design better as well, but...,RED was the choice for me. In the big scheme of things, it won't matter. No Murphy Bezel for this one (Sorry, Dave)...it'll be all 'stock' Vostok.

+1 but not 100% sure yet.
Depends on how it will shine in my eyes when I unwrap it. I will know 15 seconds after that.
Don't have a 420 yet, so it may appeal to me. You know how the Vostok affection moves in mysterious ways...

Sorry Bobby! I´m far too conservative making any changes!

But I´m looking forward to see your "tactical" switcharoo on the red Valentina watch!
