Very nice videos and photos.... Is it difficult to get the right battery ?

I read somewhere, some guy's Accutron went slightly faster due to a wrong battery.. is it true ?

It used to use mercury batteries (387), but now you have to use 387s or 394 which are silver oxide. A properly adjusted watch will run well on either battery, but there were some variations in tuning fork manufacturing, and some forks vibrate at a greater amplitude. For a few of those it is necessary to add a special diode to the circuit. For a watch like the Slava, there is another diode solution that can be added to the battery instead.

The next step in the restoration of the watch will be refinishing the case. When done, it will look as new.
