    Gift Unboxing something Uglich

Personally I love the cliff hangers of unboxing threads, and I hope you do as well. Here is my latest acquisition.

The box was all wet because I walked back from the post office when I was surprised by a rain shower.

It came well packed with lots of packaging materials.

Inside, we have this little plastic watch box.

The logo reads Chaika, a brand name of the Uglich watch plant.

The passport is for the bracelet, not the watch.

And here is the actual watch - the mythical Chaika 1200. The movement measures 9x13 mm and is the smallest ever produced in the Soviet, and it's small even by international standards. The condition is excellent, it must have been used very little.

Nice! Are the lugs screwed or integral to the case?

Great find! That tiny movement is a mechanical marvel.

Another fine watch in your collection! Congrats, vän Lars!

One nice watch after another. It seems that you`re experiencing acute condition of your watch disease. Go on being ill with this kind of disease!

Yes I guess that I'm ill, but I comfort myself that the value of the collection will probably be preserved over time. So I'm better off than spending the money on consumables. But to confirm your assessment, I have a grail on the way in...

Awesome catch, and just in time for Chaika day, too.

I love the style of that bracelet.

Any chance of a wrist shot?

Yes, but we'll have to wait a week until my wife gets back home. Only a lady can do it justice.
