    Vostok 1967 rubber strap replacement?

I just received my Vostok 1967 on rubber...gorgeous watch.
The rubber (?) strap is well matched and has 1967 embossed. etc..
I could not find any source for an original replacement strap, and since this watch will likely see a lot daily wear....
Any ideas where I could get one?

or maybe I just need to buy another with the bracelet :)

Did you contact your seller? If he doesn't know then you might try advertising for one from an owner who is not so in love with the original and has swapped out for his own personal selection. This appears to be quite common along with other amphibian customizing steps although with the 1967 I think I'd stop with the band! A pretty nice watch.

Seriously, if you had the cash available, you could buy another, remove the band and sell the watch. I bet there are some out there who would buy a new 1967 at a $50 discount +/- without a band.

I have mesh (originally suggested by Pacifichrono) from tungchoywatch

Only I had to thin end links a bit on my sharpening stone - on my 1967 pins are very close to case, so some minor thinning is necessary.

    I also made leather strap:

But that require much more effort...

I have one from my 1967 that I've never used. Its way too big for my wrist so it came off immediately. PM me if your still looking for one and I'd be happy to sell it to you.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

Thanks for the offer, I got one a couple of days ago of ebay ( via one the forum members). I'll keep it as a backup.

    jtstav,
I'll buy it if you still have it.
