This is a cross post from the affordables forum but I thought it could come in handy in this image gallery as well. If not, feel free to remove. I won't be too offended and will probably sulk for only a couple of minutes. ;)
"Inspired by all the amazing photographers here on WuS, I tried to take some shots of my new-ish Alpha Titanium Pilot. This is the first time I ever tried photographing a watch. During my feeble attempts I gained heaps of respect for people able to capture a watch properly. Used my Panasonic GH2 with a Tamron SP 90mm Macro (originally for Nikon, used a converter). The reflections, dust and macro sharpness are incredibly difficult to manage. Had to shoot at ISO 1250 to be able to work with short enough shutter speeds, hence the grain. Gonna whip out my studio strobes next time. :) For this thread I tried to capture the things I like about this watch. The "hidden" carbon faceplate, the shape of the bezel and the case back. Critique me! :)"
