I bought a dw6900"MS" and I'm undecided if I love it or hate it.

In general I don't mind negative backgrounds, I could almost say I prefer them cause they look more high tech & add mystery to the watch. But the Pink colored digits on black make it hard to read in most indoor conditions. I'm undecided whether I want to keep it, Bottom line is I like it; but is it enough to keep the watch?

I agreed with you that the pink colored digits on black make the watch difficult to read. That's one of the primary reasons why I sold my DW5600MS. It looks great. In fact, I think it's one of the best looking 5600 ever. Still, the less user-friendly negative display is not for me. I am getting a regular 5600E to replace it as it's much easier to read. If you like the look of the watch, then probably it's good enough for you to keep it. But if you want to get a easy-to-read watch, then it's probably a good idea to get a positive display 6900 instead.
