    Anyone know anything about a watch made by JAMES JAQUET, ST IMIER ?

    I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this watch maker? I have a chance to buy one of these pocket watches but have never heard of the maker ..it is key wind.

    I am not familiar with the maker, but it is a basic Swiss bar style from the 1850s-1880s. Someone else can chime in, but I am not sure it really matters who the maker is on those. I usually stay away from them if they are cylinder escapements, but that one looks like it is not. I guess I would ask the normal questions.. does it run? Looks like it needs a crystal? Is the case silver?
