Please don't PM me to ask for a valuation - I won't attempt one.

Nice pictures of an interesting watch. The case configuration and it's age indicate it might be a pocket watch conversion.

Maybe Civic watches were made by the predecessor to Honda??

Looks like a trench watch to me. I have a CYMA with the exact same face and I was told it was a WWI trench watch. I guess there are many manufacturers that made them.

Here is one I found on the bay. Same wire lugs as well.

    My two cents.

I'd say the movement is likely an AS 554

but you'd have to provide the diameter to the nearest tenth of a millimeter and a photo of the movement with the dial removed to be sure

I thought "Trench Watches" were field modifcations, not explicitly manufactured?

    Re: Civic Watch company

"Trench Watch" has evolved into a term describing ANY man's watch in a style that was made / popular between 1900 and 1920.

Basically, round, kind of bulbous case, with fixed lugs.

A red 12 on the dial of trench watch supposedly means it was used in military applications, but the most logical explanation I've heard is that it's simply to find the 12 faster (12:00 at the top was not a standard practice in the early days of wrist watches)
