Looks legit, but only one way to find out for 100% certainty. Have seller crack that bad boy open. The movement should look like this...

I was watching one on ebay recently that appears to be in similar condition, and the seller said it needed a service. That one sold for around $1,200. If I wasn't saving up for something else I would have gladly paid that.

You may want to post over in the Hamilton forum for more replies.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, you don't show a picture of the movement but the crown arrangement helps. It must have a Cal. 11 (or 11-i), the world's second automatic chronograph (narrow loser to Zenith) and is probably from the early seventies. It is a modular chronograph where the module completely covers the (micro)rotor so if you open it up, you wonder there the rotor is.....

Hamilton acquired the rights to this movement after taking over Buren in 1966, the makers of the base microrotor movement (Cal. 1281):

Hi, Congratulations on your new aqusition! I noticed that the small minutes hand is not original. I've compared your pictures to those on the net and my watch. You might want to look at that before you make your purchase incase your want your watch to be 'complete'. I'm getting mine restored in a few months time, so will send you the pictures. My contact (watchmaker) might have an additional small secnds hand if you are interested. I'll be sendng mine in for a full gasket replacement, case refurbishment and maybe a new Dial if I can get one that is 100%. Do let me know if you have any questions.
