Hello! I am totally inexperienced in watch domain and I stumbled upon this mechanical pocket watch. Please let me know who is the manufacturer, posible year of manufacturing, posible price and/or anything else one might consider interesting to know about this watch. Thank you very much! :)

    A movement shot would help.

I know I have a problem but at least I know what time it started!

Unfortunatelly I am total inexperienced regarding watches. Trying to open it by myself could result in permanent damage of the watch :(

Its probably relatively modern - 17 jewels with a sweep seconds hand. I don't know the brand at all, but the Antichoc shock protection system is commonly (but not exclusively) found in French made watches.

We can't give you any definite information about values - but modern pocket watches from obscure brands are not very collectable.

Many of my pictures were posted via Webshots which has now closed - and so have disappeared from WUS. Sorry.

Please don't PM me to ask for a valuation - I won't attempt one.

I have a couple of Prätinas as well and both have french movements (FE) so - despite the Umlaut in their name (the "Ä"), I think that the brand is probably french. Definitely a modern pocket watch, probably from the seventies.

Prätina was a low-cost/low-end brand of Dugena (Deutsche Uhrmacher-Genossenschaft Alpina), foundet in 1917 in Eisenach, later moved to Berlin and after WW II to Darmstadt.

Thanks, guys! Some other forums told me that it swiss made, probably from 70's. Even if I am not a watch collector, I liked the watch and I bought it today for the equivalent of 8 euro. That's why I asked for the price :) The watch is working well.

Here is the movement (but now I managed to stop the watch, it's not working anymore :( )

LE: Hahahahah, it seems that it has a fake chinese movement inside! :D :D :D
