Re: my new Citizen Automatic Chronograph

So the watch arrived and I love it!

@alexiscabel: If the watch is an automatic then I guess I can get it going by just shaking it?

What is the crown for so? Do I need to wind the crown to use the stopwatch?

Good to know you got it already. Yeah, you can shake the watch to start it. As I've mentioned before you can also wind it up clockwise to start it too if it doesn't immediately start after shaking. Pull up the crown two notches to set the time. Pull it up once and turn it counterclockwise to set the date, and push the 4 o'clock pusher to set the day. The two o'clock pusher starts and stops the stopwatch. The 4 o'clock resets it back to zero. Have fun!

So does it ever need to be wound fully???
Also, does the stopwatch function from the "automatic" or the "winding"?

Hi 3ps, 10 winds can jumpstart the watch. The stopwatch function comes from the 8110 automatic movement of course. The winding is just a supplementary function to jumpstart the watch if shaking it after some time of non-use doesn't work.

This watch started to give me trouble. It kept stopping randomly, and I felt the crown was a bit stiff, so I have set it aside.
Also, one or two minor flakes of paint came off the dial.

I REALLY like this watch so I'm going to have both items fixed, but it's hard to find somebody local that I can trust.
