Congrats, Marc!
Very nice watch and a good movement. I´m just wondering who made it - nothing on the dial and it doesn´t look like a Junghans watch, the "J" is obviously milled out though the star is still there.
Anything on the back?
Hi Mike,
Other than being told the movement says '59' and that the watch 'might be military' - which I see no reason for it being so, the seller also states: The Inside Cover Is The Words Fond Acier Inoxydable.
No mention of 'brand'
May just be a franken... Or just another unbranded mystery!

I wouldn't have thought anyone making a "franken" would have omitted to fake a decent brand name onto the dial, I reckon it's more likely just another of the unbranded mysteries that turn up.
I have heard, that, in France at least, a number of the minor brands actually did no in house assembly at all and it was all done by what they termed as "homeworkers". So the story goes, some extra parts were always supplied additional to the number of watches actually required. Like the old UK garment industry's "cabbage" (or "bunce" as it was known as by Jewish tailors), any additional watches produced were kept by the actual assembler. So perhaps some of the unbranded watches we see are left over from this practise. Maybe. Or is this just hearsay?
Maybe just a small make that got movements from external sources (Junghans) and didn't want anyone else's name or logo on the movement?!I have a Baume & Mercier watch with a Buren Cal. 1001A and the Buren logo has been drilled out in a similar manner.

You have my sympathy. But my experience is that sometimes lost RM items do turn up - but only sometimes.![]()

Ooh - that's bad. I've read that reliability depends on where you live. I live in a high unemployment low wage area (bad) - but it means that Post Office and similar jobs are sought after and they can attract and keep good staff (good). Our regular postman is excellent. Which doesn't help you - but if it turns up here by mistake I'll let you know.![]()

This was sent 1st Class recorded (signed for)! I missed the delivery.... went to collect it 3 days later.... not there!
went back a week later (after I was told they would call me)... Lost!
Recorded mail travels the same way as normal post.... only difference is, it gets signed for at the door. 'Special delivery' is fully trackable.... I have never had an issue with special delivery.....
