Hi there,
What is the serial number on the movement?
What size is the movement?
Any markings on the caseback inside?
Very nice by the way!

Hi there,
I dont recognise the movement... it looks to be a 9.5 lignes ... if you search this datebase for 9.5''' eterna movements, you may find a match
bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Ronda 1217-21
(i dont have to do this now)... someone may know it and advise soon!
The serial number dates the watch to approx 1935
Unsure what the 14905 number is? Also, has a very interesting shock protection!

Thank you very much, I am going to search what you told !
Actually i wonder if it is not this kind of movement : Schild-Eterna like the 82.
But have you ever seen a watch like this ? It seems to be so rare !
hi there,
Taking a second look... I have some additional thoughts! I have not seen an Eterna movement like this before.... I can check my reference book when I get home... but, one thing I would note is there dont appear to be any dial feet! As such, how is the dial attached to the movement?? The movement/dial may not be a match and just stuck on....
I think a dial side shot would help... which you may not be able to do??
You could always contact eterna with the serial number and see what they say... can take a few weeks....

Normally, eterna watches also have a case reference... hence why I asked abut this above!

The strap is made in Czechoslovakia. The currency KČS was used 1919 to 1939 and 1945 to 1993
It is made from Pig leather.
I am trying to deipher what it sais on the strap. Znak Klatovy means " the mark of Klatov (a town)
And it cost 6.50 Czechoslovak Crowns, with tells me it is maybe from the early 70's
Not that this helps you in any Way with his much older watch.
My guess is that it is well pre WW2, ended up in Czechoslovakia. The strap does not fit the wath, but in the happy Communist times you bought what was available, not what fitted or you liked.
Where did you get it?

Hi,
@sparcstter : I am really too afraid od putting the movement off to reach the dial. I will probably either search and read litterature about these calibers before touching it or give it to a watchmaker. Moreover, I thank you for the contact URL, I did it and I'm now waiting for the answer.
@Janne : Contrarily to what you say, your precisions are very very important to me, it helps me find the way it did ! And I could have never understood what these inscriptions meant ! I got it in a little flee market in the south of the France for 250 €. By the way, do you think it can be its value ?
Don't hesitate if you have other pieces of information !
I'll tell you as soon as Eterna answers me !
Thank you very much !
