Can you deep six the date frame; looking too much like Bremont. But in any case, I'm getting one (LM-5CQ).

    Nice job,

I think the word Chronograph on the dial looks tacky. I agree with a longer and skinnier chrono hand as well. The rest of the watch is quite money and I love it.

I think the sub dials are too big and the whole watch just looks a little too crowded.

Just a thought. Would it be possible to try blue/black subdials instead of white? Customers are divided by the panda eyes look. A single colour dial has a smoother flow to it.

Granted this is a different subdial layout but the Panda look needs to be done perfectly or it just doesnt work for me.

I think part of what I am seeing on the LM 5 is that the subdials are centered on a random latitude, if you will, other than the center of the dial instead of the central point of the dial which is in relation to the 3 and 9 positions. I think you can use off center postioning of subdials but you had better be very very good in designing if you are going to achieve a balanced and visually appealing dial layout.

I think this watch is a great idea and we all know how new models can look and feel very different in person from what we see in pictures which most of the time do not do the actual watch justice when holding it in the flesh/metal.

Most of the chronos I have been looking at in relation to this watch have the subdials centered to the 9 and 3 positions.

We will make some changes to the registers. They will be reduced in size. The black line circling them will be removed. Hands will be thinner. We will check to see if we can do a treatment similar to the Bell & Ross dial, on the center of the registers.

I don't like the font for "Chronograph", either. We will change the font, or remove the text.

    A drawing will follow shortly.

I think the case is excellent. We will not make any changes to it. Not sure about the brushed or polished treatment, we'll see when the sample gets here. We won't do both.

How about placing the Ocean7 logo where "Chronograph" is?

It will eliminate the clutter at the top of the dial too.

    Hello Ocean 7,
After reading all these whiners and less we turn this worthy project into a 5year MKII watch rumination session/watch--go as is; its good enough. I'd like to wear one before I turn 70.

    I don't think it's whining.

A solid design can bring years of success. It's good for the company.

Don't rush something. Do it right and it'll last.

One other thing that I suggest is to shorten the luminous markers. They seem to be too long and pushed out too far.

Along with the large subdials, they add to the "crowded" look of the watch.

AND....not to whine but you did ask for comments..... if you are going to modify the hour batons to a shorter length you may want to consider a more triangular hour marker like it on the FF chrono and also used on the LM-5. I think the triangular shape is going to work in your favor as far as making the dial appear less crowded and also giving it that cool high-end look.
