Advice on a Crosswind Diamonds with UTC MODULE

    Hi everyone
I need advice on a nice watch. Is an Diamonds bezel Crosswind with UTC module. The owner has documents for the watch( see attached picures), the watch was purchased in Italy and serviced there later on. I would like to know if the UTC module was factory made on this model or was added later and I would like advice on the price worth paying for this watch

    thank you

The problem with these iced watches is they really minimize the potential buyers market. I doubt the UTC module came with the watch as it doesn't really match the watch. Personally I would not give more than 3 or 4 grand for this piece. It is a nice watch but looks rather tacky to me, course that is just my opinion. Looks like something Liberace or Snoop Dog would wear.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. I am trying to make an idea how much should be worth paying for. I agree with you, I don't plan to wear it much.
Any other sugestions on the price would be welcome
    Thank you

    Hello,
If you search the internet, you'll come upon sites offering new, iced out Chronomats for $6000 to about $9000. Of course none of them will have a UTC Module, so you must factor that in. However, the watch in question is 20 years old so I would say the estimate provided by "superpop" is a good one. Anyway, I think the bottom line is, aesthetics aside, the Breitling Crosswind chronograph wristwatch is a good one. Good luck with your choice.

Re: Advice on a Crosswind Diamonds with UTC MODULE

The A17074 UTC module and its Pilot bracelet attached to the "55" case Crosswind are correct for the watch. The dial and bezel are aftermarket replacements and as such may well diminish the value of the watch. If they were factory OEM parts, the watch with UTC would probably be worth between 6 to 8 thousand USD on the pre-owned market and would also likely have retained their OEM diamond certificates as "Top Wesselton" diamonds. As it is, that watch is probably closer to around 4 thousand USD absolute maximum pre-owned value. Because WatchUseek does NOT offer evaluations of any kind (nor should any of our members offer such evaluations) that is only an opinion and not worth the paper (screenshot) it is written on. Buyer beware.
    Best,
    Ron
