    Breitling Date design question

See my newly purchased Navitimer 01 46mm in June this year at authorised distributor. Only recently I found that actually my watch has modern font on date dial, not like all the other navitimers 01 of that size which have this classic stilish rounded date digits fonts. The date digits fonts in my watch look like in Rattrapante Navitimer but there they are on the white background. I have so far no information from AD, but perhaps you may know somethimg about possible rootcause of such a uniqueness.
My watch is on the right, promo one on the left.

    Appreciate your feedback.

I don't think you should be concerned about the genuineness of your watch. Watch companies always make nuance changes to their product lines based on the supply chain of the parts. Also, I am sanguine that the stock photo have been edited. So it could be very well be a oversight.

Enjoy the ownership of your watch. The blue dial on this Navitimer is one of the most beautiful dials I have ever seen. If it was in a more reasonable size, it would have been in my collection. BTW... Breitling's MontBrillant model # AB0130C5 is very similar to your time piece but I am yet to see it available for sale.

    Re: Breitling Date design question

I just got info from Breitling Spain that it is a new shape of font and official material are not updated yet. Perhaps indeed. Sounds so weird. But I must say I like it much better than these old fashioned so far used date digits.

    Breitling Date design question

Breitling changed from a sans-serif to serif font on the date wheel of the Navitimer (and others) when they introduced the B01 movement on that watch back in 2010. The original Navitimer 01, which was a limited edition, kept the white date wheel from the previous model, but subsequent non-LE Navitimer 01s now have a date wheel the same colour as the dial. The progression, with emphasis on showing the date, looks like this:

    Navitimer A23322 from 2003 to 2011

    Navitimer AB0121 from 2010

Navitimer AB0120 from 2011 to today

However, on newer limited editions, Breitling has sometimes gone back to using a sans-serif font. This is most obvious on the DC-3 46mm LE.

Thanks. Very usefull information. I indeed see that certainly is not a mistake or production error. The limited edition you show as the last shows really the same type of font in date window with background in the same color as the dial, analogically as in my case.

Thank goodness they changed that font! I loved the B01 movement when it was introduced back in 2010 and just couldn't stand the date font. Nowadays all is good, thank you Breitling.

What, do you mean changed from red on white or changed for serif? If the latter, they haven't.
