Chrono Avenger 69...?? Edition Limitee (600)

Has anyone heard to this piece?

I was looking at the usual AD and Pre-owned websites and have come across this model.

It looks stunning but it has something called a rattrapante - 2 second hands to have 2 stopwatches running simultaneously apparently.

£3k is a lot of money but then it looks like a hell of a watch...

    Will post some pics...

    Steve

We have to be careful here to make sure we have the right beastie.

The Chrono Avenger Sixty Nine of which 600 were produced retailed in 2003 for £1935. It was a rattrapante model and was fitted with the 69 caliber movement. It came in steel, which was slightly unusual as at that time all Chrono Avengers were made in titanium.

However, they also produced 25 units worldwide called the Chrono Avenger Rattrapante. Now this was essentially the same watch. BUT, you have to remember that the bezel on this beauty is white gold, and it had an 18K gold oscillating weight, hence the price in 2003 of £14,500.

Now the question is, are you definitely looking at one of the 600 or.....one of the 25?

Hope this throws some light on your dilemma.

    Thanks Findo

I believe that I am looking at one of the 600 that was produced - the thing that makes me look at this watch is the movement being electrical and mechanical (if you know what I mean)

Check out Blowers in Leeds - they have the watch there.... didn't want to put a link up directly to their site - some free advertising maybe...?

Re: Chrono Avenger 69...?? Edition Limitee (600)

I've never bought from Ian Blowers although I get his newsletter e-mailed to me.

Given the original sales price of this watch there might be room for negotiation as there has been over £1000 added to what is essentially a 6 - 7 year old watch. However, as we all know the market dictates the price and if you want it bad enough .....etc.

In saying that, it is one of 600 pieces, so they will come up now and again. I did see one not so long ago (can't remember what the price was , sorry). It's not like it's one of the 25!!!! Which would be a different kettle of fish.

    Keep us posted
