    Is it too late to get back and bring to an independent, Breitling service person? I don't know how big your city is, but if there are a few watch shops, give them each a call and ask.

    Hello,
    This is common practice; a CYA kind of thing. If you sent in a brand new watch they would go through just about the same rigamarole. That way they can charge you for new hands, crystal, etc. I don't know what you can do about it.

    How does it look when it came back?

    I vote we should bring back the word rigamarole. I vow to incorporate this into my everyday vocab, thanks for reminding me what a cool word it is lol

    I bought a used Super Ocean no papers or box ,so not knowing anything about the watch I sent it into BUSA for what ever it needed. They called and wrote back that the watch was in fine condition and did not need a service and was still under warranty until Jan. 2018. I was shocked.
