Resizing a croc strap with a deployment clasp

I want to resize my croc strap and make it shorter. The problem is that the strap that inserts into deployment claps has developed a kink/s-bend from being in the clasp for a number of years. Are there any tricks to working the kink out of the strap?

Time on your wrist whil sort it out
I hawe successfully use a iron on my calf strap to solve exactly the same problem
But never on a croc strap so I can't say if it's the same
But wrist time and a little steem
From a water heater ore from a iron may solve it
