    Anonimo Regrets

    So,

I thought it would be interesting to hear from the crew:

What anonimo (preferably) do you regret selling / getting rid of, and why. Feel free to list another piece that you dearly miss if a nimo doesn't come to mind.

For me - I'd say, Breitling Chronomat Blackbird, as it really was my first "nice watch" that would be a nice keepsake even If I don't really miss its looks.
Note - I haven't sold an anonimo I dearly miss!

DZ Argonauta & DZ Nautilo. Stupid to sell, especially in the hard to find black dials. Looked great dressed up, or down. I like the Panerai I got with some of the loot though...

    Re: Anonimo Regrets

There are two (or three) Nimo's that I regret selling out of about 15 that I have parted ways with.

I'll start with one that I don't regret selling--the Nautilo Bronze, w/Champagne dial, a great watch, BUT, I just don't like the way the strap attaches to the case.

The ones that I do regret selling are (1) the yellow dial Professionale, on bracelet (this is only a slight regret, as it really is too large for my 7 1/8 wrist), and, (2) the Bronze Polluce 10 ANNI with black dial--that one I miss a lot, and would buy the moment I saw another. Wouldn't mind getting the original black dial Marine Diver back either.

If I opened the question to other brands, there is only one other watch I really miss, a tobacco dial manual IWC Portuguese with raised Fire Gold Arabic Numerals and a Fire Gold case...

That is it out of more than 100 fine watches that have come and gone in the last five years or so....

    Interesting post.

The one Anonimo I regret selling and will not likely see again, is the super rare, Millemetri "Hybrid" Hi-Dive in Ox Pro with black dial. This was one of only fifty in this color and was actually the first Polluce, as the Hybrid Hi-Dive featured for the first time a Millemetri dial, case, etc.; with the bigger crown and automatic helium release valve. I LOVED this watch, but sold it because of lack of wrist time at that time. Picture of this rarity on my wrist is attached. Big mistake to let this classic, rare piece go.

    Re: Anonimo Regrets

I haven't sold any that I would replace any time soon, though there are a few that I really liked...just not more than the ones I have now. If I had a Hall of Fame for watches that I...retired, these ones would be in it:

    Stowa Prodiver

    Breitling Avenger Seawolf

    Anonimo Professionale / GMT

    Anonimo Cronoscopio Mark II Drass

    Ocean7 LM-6C

    Re: Anonimo Regrets

I miss all of my sold Anonimo's to some extent, but out of them all it's probably the San Marco that I would like to have in the collection once again. I'd also definitely get another Pro Crono, but the Polluce on bracelet is satisying my Anonimo craving for the moment. Despite me preferring the Pro, the Polluce gets a lot more wear and is my go-to watch.

Let go of a Millemetri Grey dial with bracelet just recently. Though, I'm not feeling the regret yet since I was able to acquire a grail of mine. Who knows though...
