great job, many thanks. if you could add images it would be amazing. Tribe or Sjors should move this to the resource sticky so its easier to find.

Regarding the vintage models, I measured mine in comparison with the new GW5000, I got the same lug to lug (42mm) but old 52/600s were 42 wide, 47 mm tall and a tad below 13mm thick...that excluding the 5400 which has a different shroud and it's 14 mm thick.

Archives report the width 41.6mm but I measured differently, perhaps it's because I have a Brazilian shroud.

The GW5000 according to my caliper is 14mm thick as well.

The bezel is also different, external measurements for the vintage are 37.5 x 34, internal 31 x 26 while the GW5000 was reported 38x 32.5 and 32 x 27 respectively, so it's slightly more rectangular and with a thicker bezel (that is evident in the pics as well).

In short, today's screwbacks are beefed up versions of the originals who wear smaller on the wrist.

You know one model I didn't see there was the DW056. To me it looks like a DW5600, not sure what the differences are? Anyone know?

It looks like a "collaboration" 5600E to me...not the gold 5600E I own but close.

They made many of them, from Akira to Gundam passing through Evangelion.

Probably right, just weird that they didn't use 5600. Maybe after 2002 they just started using 5600 for everything.

It's not related to G056/GW056 either, just plain weird model number for that DW... Good find though.

That is interesting--I didn't know about that model number either. They all appear to be "Dragon" motifs. Kinda cool:
