So... what is this strut suspension lugs concept watch? This is not the first time they showcase that schematic diagram in an article. Is it just a cool concept diagram for marketing purpose, or are they really working on something like that?

If this is the side profile of the watch with oval buttons and aerodynamic shape, it certainly looks pretty good. It's pretty cool concept to have the watch suspended on top of your wrist, but is it really that beneficial in reality is yet to see.

They actually had a very similar watch before, the Pininfarina GE2000 limited collab. But it's using cables in the lugs to suspend the strap, not spring struts. Also it has no 5th button for light and the 3 eyes are on the bottom.

Considering the context that the sketch appeared in, it's most likely an earlier draft of the Rangeman. If it is, I'm glad Moriai got rid of the 6900-style triple eyes.
GTR stands for George The Rabid. Fanboy of COSC (Casio - Orient - Seiko - Citizen, in that order Hidden Content )

May be. May be an even earlier concept sketch for the GE2000, too. But those are not 6900 style eyes, which are bigger and further apart. Rather are GW500/GWM500 style eyes, which are smaller and closer together.

If this was indeed the Rangeman's concept sketch, then they also dropped the spring suspension lugs. Something that could be a major innovation in wrist watches.
