Great thread. All the photos have been great. Makes my wallet want to end up a little thinner!

Cheers, it's nice to know you like them. If you want a bezel they are now not on eBay, Marta from watches.br told me it's because Casio own the rights to them so can't sell them on there. Maybe if you message them on their Facebook page, (watches.br, not Casio, lol), they can still send you one?

I received my bezel from Marta a year ago and it included a gasket. The gasket looks a bit thinner then an original one.

    Great rescue job!!

If you like the Casio buckle better, can't you put it on the brasilian strap?

Great job! I've just posted my Dw5200 restoration, but it's not as comprehensive as yours.
I have a Dw5600c but ruined it in the sanding process. I followed all the advice, wet paper, keep it cool etc, I don't know what I did wrong. Gutted!
I'm waiting for a restored Dw5600c I bought on ebay, but I don't think It'll have the same connection as a watch restored by yourself.

    Nicely done,

A few years ago I replaced the same parts on my DW-5200 after getting 32 years wear out of the originals. My bezel just deteriated to the point it fell apart. My makeover didn't come off as cleanly as yours due to one of the tiny lug screws snapping off during removal. I played with the idea of removal and tapping in a replacement but passed on that thought.

I bought mine in 1982 I think. I worked in a Bethlehem Steel Mill at the time and used it for time studies on various jobs. After B. Steel it served a few years on commercial fishing boats and then as my work watch in a restoration business for 12 years. The crystal is pitted from welding but the watch module still runs fine.

Beat up but still working, they are very good watches.

Great work mate! Looks like you got lucky with the buy as well, not envious at all...
