While fighting fire?
Crusader Mk1148 • CWC RN Diver • Damasko DA36 • Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox (1960s) • Longines Evidenza • Mido Commander • Omega Speedmaster • Tutima Flieger Chronograph 1941 • Tutima Pacific • Wempe Zeitmeister
sure why not? doesn't have to be a working house fire... could be on a training fire...
I didn't dare mention that. Hats off.
wow, aren't we SUPPOSED to be professionals here? lol
Its a forum haha. Plus America has an odd ball respect for FFs. When I was stationed in Japan, FF was a menial job for high school drop outs. Very militarized and disciplined, but looked down upon.
IMO its some hard odds to have FFs here, seeing there are only x% in the populace, and most that I knew care more about their dirt bike, whistling at girls and surfing than forum going. Maybe expand your offer to EMTs, private EMT-Ps, and the tens of thousands of wanna-be firefighters that have gone to academy, have AS and even BS degrees in it, EMT with 911 experience etc but do not stand a chance of getting hired?
Less than a week ago I could get you a picture of a Gshock with 700+ people in line in the background to take the Burbank test (that was about half the alphabet, throughout the day I suppose they tested over 2,000, for about 5 openings). Or maybe a Gshock next to the near minimum wage paying private Ambulance with some Torrance firefighter/medics trying their hardest to make the EMTs feel like crap. Maybe a G while caring a 400lb lady down some stairs for her 5th trip to the hospital that week for chest pains while your getting a herniated disc but she is complaining of being uncomfortable with the evolution? My favorite professional moment? Being told multible times by a Torrance medic for my partner and I to carry a large woman down a flight of stairs while shy insisted on walking. When I piped up "your going to have to help us" he then asked the lady, "you said you wanted to walk right?" Or better yet another Torrance medic telling his partner to stop bending over the patient trying to move him, "don't hurt your back bro" then told me to take that position and continue to do what the partner was doing-- my back is more expendable than the Torrance Medics. Yeah, professionalism...
-end rant
Whats 400lbs in stones for the other peeps here?

I'm a wholetime firefighter in Jersey, British Isles. G-Shocks are ideal for us as they are tough, waterproof, accurate and relatively inexpensive.
I wear a GW-M5600 and many of my colleagues wear G-Shocks too.
Here are colleagues with a DW-9052 and GW-9000:
Models that I know are worn at my station are a few DW-5600Es, a GW-6900, GW-9100, two GW-M5600s, three GW-9000s, a G-9100, plus several other digital and ana-digis that I couldn't identify!
In this pic there are a GW-9000, GW-6900 and DW-5600E:
