    Re: Back to G-Town!

Very clever, thanks for the explanation and photos! I have the same problem with keeper sliding off (small wrist here too). In fact it's such a regular thing that I almost compulsively check it at least four times a day to make sure it's secure.

I only have one G-Shock so far, and it's a single pin and hole buckle, so I'll have to see what I can do. (GW-M5610.)

Hah! You guys are such enablers. I have a fairly small wrist so the squares are more of interest to me. I wish the larger, more ubiquitous G-Shock models were available in slightly smaller formats, you know?

Here's another shot of the GW-M5610 on my wrist.

I think you should try a Muddy.
I'd be willing to bet, blindly, that your wrists are NOT smaller than mine. And I think the Mudmaster's size and proportions are great.

    Re: Back to G-Town!

Nicely done on that mod. I've used the "O-ring technique", which kind of works... but isn't perfect. The O-ring can slip gradually. I use one on my SGW-200. All it really does is just delay the point where the keeper slides off. With the double-tang strap, this loop idea could really work. Thankfully I've not had any trouble with most of my watches, even with my GW-9010MB.

CASIO made TONS of the G-9000. Even after having several rumors of being discontinued, it is still on the retail market. You can pick one up on Amazon USA for $54 USD. I think used market may even have these about half that in decent shape. No excuse not having a Mudman around.

The G-9000 isn't solar/atomic, but it does take a CR-2025 cell--that's a good bit longer lasting than the aging CR-2016.
    In rotation: Citizen Attesa ATV53-2834, Eco Drives | Omega Seamaster | CASIO: TW-7000, MRG-220, RevMan, G-2000D, DW-5700ML, GW-9100 | Seiko SKA-413, SBPG001

And also the Mudman G-9000. This video shows a G-9000-3V compared to a GLX-5600-1.
