Can anyone here remind me of the difference between these two models?
I've got one -- and can never remember (if I ever knew) if it is an "NT" or an "NT2".

Thanks. I'll check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure my watch is not numbered.
Seems like an odd bit of marketing, doesn't it? I'd be a bit annoyed, I think, if I bought a numbered, limited edition and the manufacturer subsequently released essentially the same watch in an unlimited version.
I am not sure the meaning of "Franken". Care to elaborate? NT is also known as the "Sakura" by some. As for the straps, they are sure original as it is.
Franken is a term for a watch constructed from parts of different models.
However, it may be that the second watch is the DW-8200F-4JR rather than a franken. It is not a DW-8200NT version.

NT is a limited edition of 1000 units issued in year 2000 but was bought up in short time. To stop the complaint from the collectors, Casio then issued the NT2 without limited number on the caseback. In the current market price, NT is slightly less than double of NT2.
NT is very unique because you can't find any other frogs have such limited number on the caseback. As far as I remember, it was the one and only one model. All hard core frog collectors should own one by all means.
A BNIB with price tag.
Mine is 152/1000
Mitch is correct that planetz's another model is DW-8200F.
