    Re: Fergfour: Squared Away

I bought a square from someone last year who was including the 5025d bezel and strap. At the time I did not realize how rare they were so they were removed from the deal. It was a longshot but I reached out recently and it was still available. Tell you what, you find me a GW M5625E bezel and strap that hasn't discolored or yellowed and I'll trade.

Good.Just pick at least ONE 6900 as a standOUT watch to your collection.

What can I say, my passion is with squares only. I wouldn't consider a 6900 or any other non-square as a stand out in the collection, more of an anomaly. Introducing a non-square would cause my square resistance to unite and send the invader into exile. Nothing against 6900's, they are probably the only other G I would be comfortable wearing.

My offer remains, if anyone can procure a GW-M5625E bezel and strap that is clear, not discolored, I would consider it an even swap for my Ocean Gray bezel and strap.

Thanks Fergfour. I know where I can source a bezel for the GW M5625E but the straps is a different story

Yeah Digital_1, I see a bezel as well. I considered getting it but how long would it sit around unused until a strap is found?. Maybe forever :(

Well, here's an example of what can happen when you buy from a Japanese auction site and info gets lost in translation and the pics aren't great. And I admit, I didn't pay close enough attention to detail. I thought it was a good deal on a DW5000LV, from the Lovers set from 2001. The resin is correct, sort of a glossy off white, the keeper should be white too but that didn't bother me:

It is a solid case, with the correct engraved screwback:

However it looks like the module has been swapped out or something. From other 5000LV pics online there should not be an outline around the day and date and it should be a silvery shiny background, unlike this one:

Also, I think there should be an image of a devil or cupid or something when you hit the light, but this is just plain:

So now I need to decide what to do with this one. Keep it as is, use for parts, replace the resin, see if anyone here is interested or needs parts or something, or try to send it back or get a refund of some kind. Didn't spend much so I'm not that concerned about the $ aspect of it.

    Re: Fergfour: Squared Away

I think I'm out of luck the listing said no refunds, but I might try anyway. I doubt I'll ever be able to source a DW5000LV module but I guess I can look around. I could go franken on it and create something unusual, or maybe another wus'er would have some use for all or some of it.
