    Which G-Shock is better?

I want to buy one of these watches. One is the Casio Men's G9000-1V G-Shock Mudman Digital Sports Watch and the other is the Casio Men's G100-1BV G-Shock Classic Ana-Digi Watch.

You can check them out here:

Amazon.com: Casio Men's G9000-1V G-Shock Mudman Digital Sports Watch: Casio: Watches

    Amazon.com: Casio Men's G100-1BV G-Shock Classic Ana-Digi Watch: Casio: Watches

Which one has better build quality and which is better overall, don't forget to add other specific features and your personal thoughts! Thanks!

    Re: Which G-Shock is better?

Hard to say really - they are very different. The G-100 is a very basic old-school G-Shock. The lume on the hands sucks. The EL lights the display however. The hands and the digital display aren't synchronized - so it still has the "classic" hand-set mode. It has no countdown, no worldtime (just a 2nd timezone), just one alarm.
The G-9000 has one of the best modules ever released in a G-Shock. Casio considers this module to be so good that they put it in a wide variety of models:
    - G-9000
    - G-800B
    - GLS-5600
    - GLS-5500
    - G-7900 (with additional moon/tide-function)
    - GLX-6900 (with additional moon/tide-function)
The alarm features are superb: indicators for every single alarm, alarms setable for a certain date. Double 1000hr stopwatch, 24 hr timer with repeat and progress beeper, display flasher, worldtime, double illuminator.
So the G-9000 beats the G-100 in almost every aspect. However - the G-100 sure looks cool and is a classic design. So if you don't need all those features I mentioned and want that classic ana-digi look: go for G-100. If you want one of the best modules in one of the toughest cases: G-9000. However: the resin covers on the buttons make the buttons very stiff on the G-9000. I think: if you just want the features with better to use buttons: take either a GLS-5600/5500 or a G-7900. The GLS-5500 even has the mud-proof buttons like the G-9000 but they are easier to operate.

    Greetings, Sedi

Personally not a huge fan of the ana-digi models. I'd go for the Mudman.

    Sedi's explanation says it all.
    Go for the muddy.

    another thread two days ago:
I just have one question, would this G Shock Mudman G 9000 watch get scratched if it were to collide with the ground and would move in a forward motion. Just like if you were riding your bike and fell off real bad, and scraped the watch on the concrete. I just bought this watch and want to know. And is this watch good overall?

    another thread one day ago:
How long does the G-Shock Mudman G-9000 Battery Last? And is it hard to replace it and is it hard to find the specific battery? And how much does Casio charge for them to replace for you?
dude, why don't you come back after you have done your homework and watch purchase? don't know whats up with you but unless you bought and experienced for yourself, you probably won't find the answers you are looking for. and btw: it is certainly not necessary to open three threads in 48 hours for the same watch.

    cheers
The big difference between an analog and a digital watch:

    - An analog watch is an interpreter (about 10-11 minutes to eleven)
    - A digital watch leaves no room for interpretation but only facts (10:58:50)
