    G-Travels

OK, let's give 'G-Travels' a fresh kick. As most will know, the idea was to send a G-Shock around the world with pictures to illustrate its journey. The watch would eventually end up back with Jersterca, the originator of the idea and owner of the watch.

Except as most will also know, after leaving me the watch arrived in Norway and then never left Norway... Solution: continue with another watch. Jersterca will just end up with a different watch than he started with. The G-Travels watch is now the G-8000 that I kept in Kraków as a 'spare'.

Here it is in my Kraków 'man-drawer' - repository of expired batteries, keys that don't fit anything and tiny screwdrivers.

Some views of Kraków. They're not all 'touristy' as I've probably snapped more than enough of those over the last thirteen years. However, I did find myself thinking 'better do a couple of the Market Square for the forum'...

    World recession hits candy-floss sales.

Where Copernicus (Mikolaj Kopernik) went to university.

    Market Square. Girl on telephone.

Girls on bikes. There's always another one along in a minute.

    Quiet street.

    Kanonicza.

    Tramlines, cobbles, girl checking phone.

    Bridge.

New Opera House. Girl on phone on balcony.

    Priority for trams.

Three views of half of the Market Square (there's another half behind the central Cloth hall).

    Souvenirs in the Cloth Hall.

    Cathedral on Wawel Hill.

Three pictures from Wawel (but none of the main attraction, I notice...).

The cult of Clarkson reaches everywhere.

In Europe. More places to phone!

I didn't set out to take pictures of girls on the phone - it's just almost impossible to take a street scene without them...

I'll post some more pictures of a place near Krakow, once I've sorted them out.

But back to G-Travels. I'll contact Jersterca and see if he has the original list of names and addresses. Or we can start a fresh list.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I have to show these to my wife, she really wants to visit Poland as her mom and dad emigrated from there after WWII and she still has family in the countryside.

    Great pics!

    Cheers,

Brilliant idea Tribe. And lovely shots. The QUIET STREET was exceptional.

I'm pretty sure this is a welcome development to a lot of people here. (myself included)

...G-Travels brought back from the dead.

    best regards,

It was a pity the first G-Travels died early. Great this initiative is resurrected. Too much fun, great places to see.

    Cheers,
