    I think the Pro Trek PRW3500 or 3510 would be right up your, uhmm, 'path' much more so than either of those two Gs, unless you have to have the analog component.

    I agree. The PRW-3500 is my go-to outdoor watch. I have a Gulfmaster as well and it is significantly bulkier and is less ideal when you need to wear long sleeves and gloves. Even thinner, PRW-3100 has ABC functions as well. Much as I love analog/digital G-Shocks, I think outdoors all-digital is a better solution.

    Would the Pro Trek have the same seals on the buttons as the GG 1000?

    No, not by definition, anyway, nothing should be more mud-resistant than the Mudmaster, right? But that wouldn't stop me from putting the PRW3500/3510 to the test.

    Is it worth getting a gg-1000 even if the light does not lit up the screen and it only got a 2 year battery life?

    Can the battery really last 2 years under normal use?
