    Glorious Gold to Piss Yellow

Hello everybody, it's my first time posting so if I do something wrong please let me know.

I came across a GWM5625 25th anniversary watch in my area. It's a great every day watch that I needed but the jelly band and bezel has turned yellow and is too noticeable (not to mention it looks like someone peed on my wrist). Any idea where I could find replacements for the bezel and strap? I like modding and wouldn't mind having more than the regular black.

Btw the quality of the resin unbelievable. It feels like silk compared to a dw5600lcu-1 I had. If there's anyway I could whiten it again that'd be great.

    That's a rare R. Kelly edition 5600.

Jelly's are very cool while they last but the problem is exactly this. They age and turn into the colours you never wanted. I'd actually go black bezel and strap cause it suits the yellow writing.

+1 on the black bezel and strap. That is a stunning dial and would pop more.

The picture is cropped but these models would fit it. I've seen some regular black bezels and straps on eBay going for 30. Is it me or is that too high??

They seem high on eBay most of the time!!

More often than not I go to either Casio UK or Tiktox for my resins.

go white gloss resin, itll still be a little blingy but will last alot longer than the jelly and its readily available when it gets dirty again (but will hold off alot longer than matte resin)

It's called Patina. Call me a purist, but it's part of the character of the older jelly G's.

I'm thinking its caused by UV radiation. it breaks down the molecular chain and that causes the discoloration. Finding another clear jelly is problematic as the makers aren't too interested in supplying them despite the planned obsolescence of the resin.

But - there is an alternative.

Dye it. Rit dye. Plenty of colors to choose from and plenty of posts here. Go ahead and buy substitute parts, but don't cast off the old ones. Give it a whirl and you may create something even better. You could even go grey to keep the see thru look and also contrast with the yellow. It's simply a matter of timing - how long you soak it in the dye.

This is exactly why people started dying resin
