Got an MRG for $40. I'm a happy man!

Won a bid from yahoo auction a couple of weeks ago and it finally arrived!
I've been looking for this model (MRG-100TZ-5) for quite some time but the price always went so high I thought I will never get a chance until recently, somehow lots vintage MRGs pop up. (I suspect there may be a clearance or something. ) I was lucky that two pieces of the same model apeared at the auction at the same time. This piece has a small scratch on the crystal and drew less attention but that didn't stop me. I think I can easily get a saphire crystal and enjoy a little bit of repairing.

I like the slightly brown dial very much. The reflection looks so beautiful under desk light.

Actually I was quite suprise about how small it is when I opened the package. It's almost half the size of my MRG-7500. However it's not too bad on my wrist since I'm not very strong-looking anyway.

And it's got this funny engraving on the buckle. Not sure what it is about. The official website says the idea came from Jazz or saxophone...

This is a imitation to Sjors classic picture with marbles surrounding the MRG.
(I mean this thread Marbalous Mr-G!)
(like that picture very much. I think MRG goes well with colorful background.)

    Hi TQ,

I like that special dial. I think I have seen such a buckle before. Very cool!!! I have the "Straight No Chaser" and "Knitting Factory" model, both dedicated to Jazz Clubs.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Fantastic watch! It looks so simple and uncluttered compared to regualar g-shocks. Great find.
