    Re: GW4000's

Congrats great collection. I am still in awe of my orange 4000.

PS Glad I saw this post just showed it to my wife and she has now let up on me for just purchasing one aviator.
Wink did not let on that I may purchase some more lol.

Fantastic collection! My choice might be the one you don't have - the white with resin strap, model GW-4000a-1AER. Does anybody have a suggestion of the best merchant to use that would ship one to the US? Thanks!

OK, camera charged (I've really stopped using them since cell phone cameras!) taken some pics and deleted the blurry ones (I hope). Once again I'll divide up by colors, though here is a nice group shot:

First, the green. Again, if you want to see some great photos of this one, please visit JonL's thread. Less of these turned out blurry so I'll use the Hulk to show a couple of features as well. What can I say? I guess this one IS the most photogenic?

There has been some question about the solar panel on the GW4000's. It turns out it is amazingly difficult to get a photo of with an auto-focus camera. It is not a "glossy purplish panel" like the 9300 mudman, 9200 riseman or others. It looks like textured plastic. I tried to get that in this shot.

    This one does as well

This really is just a handsome piece. Wanna see the hulk grin?

See those two little green slivers by my thumb? I like those accents! Here is a better view of them:

The resin strap. People seem to have asked differences between it and the bracelet. Here is a photo of the resin:

Yes, very photogenic watch and very easy to like.

    The GW4000D.

Here are the two photos I tried with it to show the solar panel some more. On the first one, if you look in the lower right on the bezel near the window reflection you can see the "textured plastic" of the panel.

On this second one, you need to look "through" the reflection of the glass to see the panel, but it is there. Again sorry for so many photos to show this aspect. It is just tough to describe but easy to see in person. Hopefully there are other details you are interested in looking at.

Other big talking point of this watch: the bracelet itself. First Look at the bezel and you see the verbage "protection"? OK, that is actually the resin. I LIKE how the steel part of the watch transitions to such a flat angle, it really helps this watch carry the metal bracelet. People have personal opinions regarding resin on the case and a steel bracelet. I'm OK with this one. On a side note: remember on the hulk where the two green slivers were? Notice there are no accents there on this watch (all black).

And finally, just a clean shot of this one:

OK, who wants to see Big Orange? "wait" you say? "Why even bother posting on this one?". I hear you, either you're in love with the hulk, or it is too garish for you and you are thinking about one of the white ones. I know, I know. This is one of my first purchases where my gut told me I liked the photos and needed it, but my head was worried that it would just get overlooked and never worn in this company. "Yeah, and I LOVE my orange (or blue) 3000" or "I'm camping out overnight in front of the store to have a crack at an RAF when they are available". While no GShock is perfect, and none of them are for everyone. My gut was absolutely right about grabbing this one. Here's a close up:

See the orange slivers at the bottom? I LOVE that. The orange accents I was talking about in the earlier post? Now you can see how much they add. Yes, this is the loudest of the 3. See that smudge underneath the "R" in PROTECTION? I apologize, it is actually see through and I didn't even notice it until I started this post.
The features of these three have been pretty well explained. I don't need a whole lot of solo pictures here or other explanations. I just wish to show that this one is an often overlooked brother of the 3 (middle kid?) and it doesn't deserve it. Next post will show that.

Awesome pics of three awesome G's! The orange one is hot while the greenie is cool. That's a great rotation!

Luciano, you've just allowed me to think of another nickname (1A3ER) - the Green Laser!

"What's up with this Chrisek dude and these cliffhangers? What does he think this is, a miniseries?"

No, I'm used to Tapatalk crashing on my phone when I do a pic-heavy post or thread and don't know if it will also happen here (on my desktop) but it is really frustrating for me. I also get to use the switchups to change topics. OK, similar photos of each of the three. This time I'm putting hulk in the middle.

I hope this helps. As you can tell I'm quite taken with the 4000's, cheers.
