Help on GA-1000 Battery Replacement - Not Resetting

    Hi All,

I have a GA-1000 (5302 Module). A few weeks ago I noticed the flashing low battery alarm in the upper right-hand corner.

    1) ordered two new batteries from PacParts
    2) Replace both
    3) Reset with tweezers shorting AC and cover

Problem is that while I short the AC to the cover (-) symbol - which actually is positive since the cover touches the (+) of the batteries - the blinking low battery light goes off, but comes back on when I remove the tweezers.

I have a few G-Shocks and this has never happened. Any ideas? ...something I missed.

    Thanks in advance.

SOLVED - One of the 'New' batteries was low - tested them on a voltmeter. One old one still had some charge, so it's running until I grab another battery.

right so I've found out how to get the double batteries out of my g shock ga-1000. it's pretty much the same as this link, which has a single battery, but you'll see that the clasp that holds down the batteries is the same. i used a safety pin to pry open the battery clasp. it's pretty easy. then just use a little silicone to seal the back up to make it water proof.
    I hope that helps.
