Number 1, but with a regular display.

I thought number 2 was deeply unattractive until number 3 came out.

I have both 2, and 3. I like them both, but the gw9010 would be my pick over most g-shock watches. It basically has everything, and very practical.

    I would with #2 or #3.

Having owned #1, I quickly grew bored of its drab orange display. I got to the point where I could no longer wear it because of my disdain for the bland orange color. And so I gave it away. If #1 had a normal color display, I would pick that one in a heartbeat!

Hmmm, perhaps I need to clarify. I am not looking at that specific watch per se, only the layout of that Mudman. I would consider the camo, blue, black.

I am just wondering about the layout and features. Also, I didnt think #1 had solar or atomic.

Also 3 is multiband 6 and 2 is multiband 5.

I would take 3 every time.

It gets a bit of knocking for looks - I don't understand why but I guess that's just horses for courses. I honestly can not see how it is objectively any way more unatrractive than most resin digital G's, subject to a certain extent to personal preferences of course.

Try to get a look at it in real life - the legibility of the display is absolutely superb. This for me is a really big deal. Every time I wear it I really enjoy the watch - it just feels right.

I have the G-9000-8v - same as your number 1 but different colour (off white & tan display). I quite like it - but the display is nothing compared to the GW-9010. Far more busy too.

I have not seen the GW-9000 in real life, but the reason I went for the 9010 over it is that in the pictures I viewed the display seemed much less crisp and clear (that's the 'real world pictures' not the stock ones).

edit : also in those stock photos, where is the 9000 showing the date or am I missing something ?

I believe it toggles between day and date.
