I removed the strap a long time ago - now the second year outside behind my office building I use the "naked" watch for temperature, baro etc. ...

Tried to damage it but it still works and works and works ...

Sent from my NOKIA 1011 using Takatuka ...

You won't have a problem with your watch, they're not called G-Shock for just marketing purposes!

There will always be manufactured products that fail, it doesn't mean they all fail, it just means yours did. We only hear from those who scream the loudest though, but I am sure the majority are enjoying their indestructible watches without issue every day.

Furthermore, they are part of the aviation G series, where they need to pass centrifugal force test, in addition to shock and vibration tests (advertised as "Triple G Resist"). The AWG100/AWGM100 is a lower cost ana-digi G with the same linked hands design, but without Triple G Resist and all the fancies sub-dials. All of these have been proven their reliability in many threads here in the forum, as well as the members' testaments above.
Slight correction there, only the GW4000 and models above (GWA1000/GWA1100/GPW1000) are Triple G Resist. The GW3000 and GW3500 are NOT. G-Central has a nice table listing all the Gravitymaster / Skycockpit series models and features. https://www.g-central.com/g-shock-av...watches-guide/

Sorry for sending you guys the wrong fact before, my bad.

What the heck is that?! Do you call that a watch or a weapon?

I still wonder sometimes if Gshock will ever use sapphire or K2 crystal in the future. Some so called "tough" watches have one of those, although some people feel that while the Gshock would survive a fall or impact, sapphire could shatter more readily than mineral crystal. I personally would be into a special GW5000 edition say with a sapphire crystal.

of course and i think ive used almost those exact words to those that believe a minute % of failures applies to the majority, just thought it was a humorous (maybe only to me??) observation since there has been a bit of talk about problems with second hands on higher end Gs.
its ok, not the first time ive been the only one laughing but thanks for pointing that out and making it a thing
