The GXW-56 is not a very limited model probably, hence the release of a Non-Atomic version in the US and probablt other parts of the world. Serial numbers or numbered models are pretty rare. I believe there are no G-Shock models with serial numbers anymore. The GW-200 versions were the last. You can find batch numbers on newer models though. You can see one on the back of Feisar's GXW-56KG.

Note also that retail prices in the US are very low compared to the retail prices in Japan. It might be that the GX-56KG will cost around $180 or less, with only the Atomic TIme feature missing.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

There are only 10 kind of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Thanks Sjors! That makes sense, I thought that imprint on his was a serial number.

So when it is released in the US, it will not be a multiband 6????

Hey Sjors, did yours arrive yet? I got mine today, and it shows the band made in Japan and the case made in China? Strange. Maybe they had to move production there after the flooding or something?

The three GX56's that I own are all made in Thailand and the bands are all made in Japan. What gives? Is Casio making the GX56 series in China now? Does anybody know?

Yeah I was surprised too, this is the first one I've seen from China. Guess it doesn't matter really, to me they're either made in Japan or they're not :) Offshore is offshore :)
